1. Temperatures above 125 degrees for 1, 2 or 3 hours. The older standard UL150 is
only meant for microfiche and film, etc. not DLTs, DATs, Zip
LTOs and the like. |

Mild magnetic fields,
such as from electrical wiring, office machines, magnetic paper
clip holders, etc. Ordinary fire safes for paper were never designed
to provide this type of protection. |
3. Humidity
over 80% relative. Fire safes work on the basis of the production
of steam within their walls which will destroy magnetic media.
Your data can be quickly destroyed in such a fire safe. |

*Composite drawers have adjustable/removable partitions
to accomodate every media type. The type (size) of media kept
in them determines the spacing between the drawers, and thus
the drawer capacity of each safe. Shelves and composite drawers
are then purchased separately for each safe to accurately meet
the unique needs of each customer. |
